Erin Moran Thrash is the Managing Partner of Thrash, Carroll & Sanchez Law Group and is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a 1982 graduate of the Louisiana State University (LSU) Law School and has been licensed to practice law in Texas and Louisiana ever since. She has served families across Lakeway, Lake Travis and Greater Austin since the firm opened in 2004.
Her practice centers on estate planning and asset protection, especially for clients facing difficult issues or family situations that do not fit a standard plan. Erin calls her approach “solution planning.” Rather than starting from a form, she builds each plan around what the family actually needs, using wills, trusts, business entities, charitable gifts, charitable trusts, foundations or a combination of these tools.
That custom approach is why so much of her work involves blended families, business owners, clients who want to give back through charitable planning, and families providing for a loved one with special needs. The goal is always the same: a plan that holds up, protects what the client has built, and is clear enough that the family knows exactly what to do when the time comes.
Erin also writes most of the firm’s blog, where she explains Texas estate planning and probate law in plain language for clients and their families.
Erin lives in Spicewood with her husband. She has three children, three grandchildren and several pets.
